A thief or thieves smashed their way into Ely’s Centra Store on Kickham Street, Thurles, early this morning.
The intruder /intruders used what is believed to be the cement base of an advertising sign to smash the plate glass pane on the front door.
The normally busy store, this morning, remains closed while Gardaí investigate the criminal activity, but it is expected to open within the next half hour.
