It is with a great personal sadness that I learned of the death today, Monday 16th July 2018, of Mr Michael (Mick) Gooney, Childers Park, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Mr Gooney passed away peacefully, after a long illness, while in the wonderful care of the Staff of St Theresa’s Nursing Home, Lognafulla, Dublin Rd, Thurles.
His passing is most deeply regretted by his loving wife Elizabeth; sons Tom and James; daughters Liz, Noreen and Anna; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers; sisters; sons-in-law; daughters-in-law; nephews; nieces; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; cousins; extended relatives; neighbours and many good friends.
Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mr Gooney will lie in repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles, on tomorrow evening, Tuesday 17th July, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm, to arrive at the Church of St. Joseph and St. Brigid, Bóthar na Naomh, Thurles at 7.00pm.
Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday 18th July at 10.00am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles.
